Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How
We all imagine a bully as a typical bully hungry for our lunch money, big and aggressive. People who bully usually suffer from stress at home, school or work. They target people based on their appearance, social group, and social interactions. Bullies choose a particular place that might mean something for them or a place without many people; it can happen at anytime and anywhere. Bullies feel superior towards their victims. If the victim continues accepting the bullies behavior towards them, they are enabling the bullies "right" to harass them.
Why don't victims speak up?
Victims sometimes are already suffering at school, if they are being bullied it makes them feel sad, lonely, or nervous. The bully could have threatened them. If they told anyone then I will hurt/ruin you, which makes it less likely the victim would even let a figure of authority know.
There are 3 common forms of bullying:
Verbally: teasing, name calling, threats, public embarrassment,
Physically: pushing, punching, tripping, rude gestures
Cyberbullying: verbally abusing someone through social media with rude comments in order to hurt someones feelings
